this way when we lose power in a war or a natural disaster then americans could still get gas to get away or get back to work. this could be phased in for the gas companies. this could potentially save thousands of lives. watch the new york area without power.

They probably do, but there’s no gasoline in their tanks becuase the tanks fill up with water in a flood and the gasoline floats away.

Gasoline is lighter than water.

You get yourself a Transfer Switch. This device will enable you to switch from the city supplied power to your own generated power. Then, get yourself a generator. When the power goes out, start up the generator and flip the transfer switch.

There are systems you can buy that will automatically detect a power failure and auto switch you to generater power. They are more expensive.
